Introduction

Journal Entry: Sun Sep 21, 2008, 9:21 PM
Hello and Welcome.

My name is Gregory, I live in Los Angeles, and I do freelance illustration, primarily storyboards for animation and live-action films. To date, I have drawn storyboards for twenty-five independent films, along with various illustrative/animation projects. This page is intended as a supplement to my other websites, and if you're interested in what you see here, by all means investigate further:

and here:

If you're a director or screenwriter in the LA area, and you need some storyboards drawn for an upcoming project, get in touch with me. To any other Deviants who pay me a visit, thanks for dropping by, and good luck with your artwork.

I wanted to update this introduction message with some news about some of the projects I have been involved in. The short film Demption is currently making the festival rounds and has been generally well-received. A trailer for the film can be seen here: [link]

Also, I've learned that Half to Death may finally be in pre-production after being picked up by Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes, but I have no idea on a release date.

That's it for now! Wishing fellow Deviants good times and good drawing.

You have one freakishly deakishly inspirational gallery. I'm defiantly going to watch you. :+devwatch:

Nice to find ambitious artists who are involved.

I start with pencil, then maybe Prismacolor marker if needed, then cleanup in Photoshop with background tones and lettering added.

I'm impressed by your work on here. What medium do you usually use when you draw some of your boards/concepts?
~athas:iconathas: Jan 12, 2008, 11:26:23 PM
Helen - Daria, just once, why can't you smile when somebody takes your picture?

Daria - I don't like to smile unless I have a reason.

Helen - Daria, people judge you by your expressions.

Daria - Yes, and I believe there is something intrinsically wrong with that system, and have dedicated myself to changing it.

What, the typically-monotonic with just a twinge of sarcasm, and sometimes with a heaping bit of cynicism bit? Yeah, thats kind of how I talk anyway. And I don't exactly get excited about much anymore, either.

You're welcome! But my real question is, can you do the voice?

Thanks, I feel very lucky to have found my niche, it's a fun, challenging career path.
You're right -- there absolutely should be a deviation category for storyboards. Thanks for the visit, and good luck with current & future projects.

thanks for the fave! i dig your boards... perfect style for shooting boards. i'll be posting more keyframe / style boards in the very near future... it's an enjoyable and money-making way to enjoy being an artist... the freedom and expression we can convey make it a viable "deviation," there should be a category here for it!
